We'll be sharing our predictions for each tournament separately, starting today with the degen-friendly third-place matchup between Canada and Uruguay at 8:00 PM EST. 3rd Place Game - Canada vs. Uruguay

Let's be real: us Canadians were thrilled just to make it out of the group stage. Reaching the semis was a huge bonus, but that's where we peaked. We have a young team with serious skill and talent, but Uruguay is light years ahead of us, and it will show early in this game. Uruguay is going to kill us faster than than the cartel kills an unpaid fiend with a large debt. I hate to say it, but Canadian soccer will die at the feet of the lunatic Uruguayans. I'm taking Uruguay to win both halves at +275.

Finals - Argentina vs. Colombia

Now, the real reason you clicked on this blog: our finals predictions. Argentina is a skilled squad that plays fairly composed for a South American side, whereas Colombia plays like everyone is off a serious amount of blow, moving as fast as cheetahs with the anger of gorillas. Colombia is a scary team to play against. Don't believe me? Ask the Uruguayans; that game was an absolute bloodbath. Even after the game, Colombian fans fired a hammerfist to Nunez's brain.

In my opinion, the Colombians will want it more. Argentina has had their glory for some time, and the Colombians will strip that from them. I expect an intense game that will resemble UFC-like takedowns. As long as the officiating isn't as corrupt and obviously in favor of Argentina like most of the tournament, I see Colombia pulling off the upset and lifting the trophy. I'm taking Colombia at +162.
