Welcome back to "Daily Hot Takes," where we bring you live updates from the PGA Tour, analyze the leaderboard, and give you some insight on the best picks for the next day's action. Hold onto your hats because the competition is heating up and the betting could get intense.

The Leaderboard Drama

Let's start with the big hitters and the headline-makers from today:

  • Robby MacIntyre (T1): The lad from Scotland is staying dialed in, just as we predicted. He shot a solid -4 today, bringing his total to -10. MacIntyre’s steady play is making waves.

  • Mackenzie Hughes (T4): Showing that Canadian resilience on home turf with a huge push and two eagles today. He fired a remarkable -6, bringing his total to -7 (T4).

  • Joel Dahmen (3): Casually on fire in his classic, laid-back style. Dahmen is just a cool guy to watch on tour (3).

  • Ryan Fox (T1): The New Zealander managed a clean card today, demonstrating his consistency. Firing a -6 today, putting him at -10. Looking like a real threat.

Our Current Picks:

Taylor Pendrith: He struggled with a +1 on the front nine but stayed composed, firing back-to-back 69s to make the cut. Pendrith is hanging in there.

Nicolai Hojgaard: Started off +3 through 6, but came back and shot the most difficult -1 I've ever seen. Wow.

Akshay Bhatia: Finishes the week at -2, made the cut, and did his job. Steady golf. Which means we cashed, baby, 1-0 in our debut "Fairway Favourites" parlay. Let's fucking go. #moretocome

Sahith Theegala: Sahith’s game right now, I can't even attempt to describe. Just be happy I am digging you out of the hole my dumbass brother put you in.

Nick Taylor: MISSED THE CUT. I mean, come ON, Ricky, man, do better. I will say Nick Taylor fought his ass off and is still a Canadian golf legend, but a bad showing for the reigning champ.

Sam Burns: Complete travesty, although he saved a round which could've been much worse. I expect him to bounce back heavy tomorrow.

Robby MacIntyre: Dialed in, steady, consistent golf, no errors. If you read yesterday and took Robby at 14-1, you got great value—he is now 3.33-1.

Tommy Fleetwood: Even par today. Not his best, but he's still in the hunt. Fleetwood needs to bring his A-game tomorrow.

Tomorrow's Picks

Now, the juicy part—our picks for tomorrow’s action:

Value Winner Pick

For a value pick, now this may sound delusional, but Rory at -2 isn’t out of the picture. He’s won here before and he's a two-time winner in Canada. I know, I know, but if you looked at the odds before, he was 4-1 pre-tournament; now he’s 18-1 and has the potential to go 66 or better back-to-back. If you liked him to win pre-tournament, you should love him now.

So there you have it, folks—our "Daily Hot Takes" for the PGA Tour. Tune in tomorrow for more updates, live picks, and a healthy dose of golf previews as the RBC Canadian Open continues. Now have yourself a friday because we cashed before the weekend! Grab more pints then you can handle and embarrass yourselves. Cheers!
