Thomas but where's "Fairway Favourites the parlay is 1-0"? Sadly, the only sportsbook that is offering odds for players making the cut this week is BetMGM and let me tell you straight up their odds are abysmal. We would need to craft a 6 leg parlay just to come close to the odds we hit last week. It may be disappointing but we care about value and if there is no value to be had, that means there is not enough money to be made and I'm not going to waste your time with a shitty 6-leg make the cut parlay. Outta respect.

But fear not, golf aficionados, because we've got plenty more in store for you this week. While "Fairway Favourites" takes a brief hiatus, we're diving headfirst into "First Round Flair". A continuing segment, where we pick the player who we think will come out swinging and lead the field after the first round.

First Round Flair: Scheffler's Sizzling Start

Scottie Scheffler is currently 10-1 to lead after the first round. This is as tempting as finding a random ball on the course and saying its yours, when you know damn well you went 50 yards OB. Scheffler’s form this season has been red-hot, and his knack for hitting the ground running is something to behold. If he didn't have such a poor friday, he could've won the PGA championship, don't forget that. Now, picture Scheffler striding onto the fairway with the swagger of a prime Doyle Brunson who knows his 10/2 offsuit is going to hit and win him all the marbles.

Think of this: As the sun rises over Muirfield Village on Thursday, Scheffler steps up and sends his first drive soaring into the stratosphere. By midday, his scorecard is a masterpiece of precision and power, full of birdies. His long game? Pure dynamite, blasting past the competition like a muscle car in the fast lane. His approach shots? Deadly accurate, painting the greens with finesse. And his putting? Well his putting I'm going to say now probably could've been better, but I'll predict right now he fires a 66 and he'll miss some simple putts that could've brought his score even lower. Either way, a 66 will be a clubhouse leading round. By Friday morning, the leaderboard will be all about Scottie, and you’ll be grinning from ear to ear, knowing you backed the right horse.

Scheffler's unwavering consistency and fierce competitiveness make him a top contender to set the early pace. His current form suggests he’s primed to leave the rest of the field in his wake, scrambling to catch up.

And that's that. This week’s "First Round Flair" pick is none other than Scottie Scheffler. At 10-1 odds to lead after the first round at the Memorial Tournament, he’s your man. Get your bets in, sit back, and enjoy the fireworks. May your winnings be plentiful and your double bogeys scarce. Happy golfing and enjoy the weekend!
