Rocket Mortgage Classic: Ready for Some Golf Degeneracy
Following two great weekends of golf with the US Open at Pinehurst and the signature Travelers Championship, we have the Rocket Mortgage Classic. It's honestly a mid-tier event given the field we have participating. It's lacking the big names of golf, but nonetheless, we here at Perri Sports Hub are degenerate fucks, and I am all for the Rocket Mortgage Classic at the Detroit Golf Club. This tournament might not have the star power, but it's got plenty of opportunities for us to make some money. So, let’s dive into the field, the tournament, and who’s "going low" because, frankly, anyone can really win this thing.
My Picks:
Akshay Bhatia: 22-1
Akshay has been playing some stellar golf as of late, and his consistency is something that makes him stand out to me this week. The young stud has a pure swing, and when he's on, it’s tough for him to make mistakes. I expect four low rounds out of Akshay. If his putter gets hot before the weekend, I expect his odds to drop significantly around that 8/10-1 area. This kid's got game, and he's ready to show it off.
Stephan Jaeger: 25-1
Stephan Jaeger is who I’m looking at next. Stephan is a big fan of this tournament, and he knows the course well. He is someone not a lot of people pay attention to or know about, but when you look at his history at the Detroit Golf Club, it is impressive. With two top 10s in the last two years, I expect Stephan to come out firing and looking to show the golf world why we should know his name. He placed solo 5th two seasons ago and T9 last year. Stephan will go low, and I love the pick, and so should you. I did the research so you don’t have to. Let’s get paid, fuckers.
Min Woo Lee: 20-1
Min Woo Lee is my next pick, and I can't lie, there may be some bias here. However, he is a gamer, and his game is generational. Min Woo Lee has a strong short game, and he enjoys playing aggressive golf, which pays off big at Detroit Golf Club. This may be a hot take, but Min Woo Lee is the best Aussie golfer right now. I expect him to win one for the land down under at least once this season, and I believe out of all tournaments, this one poses the best opportunity. Their beer might be complete shit, but their golfers are pretty fucking good.
Time to Cash In
So there you have it. The Rocket Mortgage Classic might not have the star power, but it’s got plenty of opportunities for us degenerate gamblers to cash in. With picks like Akshay Bhatia, Stephan Jaeger, and Min Woo Lee, we’re looking at some serious potential payouts.
Don’t forget to check out our Instagram @PerriSportsHub for daily hot takes. We’re now doing it as a 60-second vlog segment so we can show our raw emotions and anger for a more real experience. Let’s get ready to make some money, and remember, if you’re not betting, you’re not living.
